Growing Software Company Assures Over 60,000 Meals for Individuals in Need
CLEVELAND OH--Recognizing community need during the holiday season, employees at TMW Systems Inc. contributed more than $20,000 in cash donations to local food banks in the six major metropolitan areas where company offices are located in the US and Canada. The amount represents a new charity donation record for the privately-held software company, headquartered in Beachwood, Ohio, and holiday meals for more than 64,000 individuals by food bank estimates.
According to Constantine Gulgas, a software developer at TMW Systems and chairperson of the company's Employee Relations Committee, "The voluntary fundraising saw unprecedented giving in 2011. Our goal for this year's food drive was 100% voluntary participation across the company. We invited people at each of our offices to donate generously and help the less fortunate families in their local areas during this holiday season. We have a lot of overachievers at TMW and they really exceeded all our expectations this year," he added.
Food banks benefiting from the effort include: Cleveland (OH) Food Bank; The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma; Food Bank of Eastern and Central North Carolina; Gleaners of Central and Southeastern Indiana; North Texas Food Bank; Second Harvest of Middle Tennessee and the Langley (BC) Foodbank.
